LEVANDOWSKI CHARGED WITH THEFT

Anthony Levandowski, the man who caused Waymo to sue Uber, has been indicted with 33 counts of theft of trade secrets. Apparently the charges are related to the Uber/Waymo case. To read more click the Jalopnik article here.

CREAMFIELDS CAR PARK RAIDED

Several cars parked in the Creamfields music festival car park were stripped of parts during the event. Seats, wheels, and front ends were removed. The suspicion is that organised crime had a hand in this. To read more click the Motoring Research article here.

BUGATTI CHIRON GOES JOLLY QUICK

UK CONNECTED AND AUTOMATED MOBILITY ROADMAP

Zenzic are an organisation that brings together industry, government and academia together to help direct the move towards connected and automated mobility in a unified way. They have released a Roadmap to 2030, outlining the steps, as they see them, needed to get us to a point where we have such a mobility system. TOYOTA AND SUZUKI IN NEW ALLIANCE

Suzuki and Toyota have outlined their plans to buy shares in each other, as part of a collaborative development programme. This is the next step on the previously announced projects, with Toyota building Suzuki hybrid vehicles for the European market. To read more click the Autocar article here.

FRANKFURT MOTOR SHOW TIGHTENS SECURITY

TOYOTA WILL PAUSE PRODUCTION FOR A DAY AFTER BREXIT

Toyota UK has stated that they will stop production on the first day of Brexit, Friday 1 November. Production will begin again on the Monday and Tuesday following. The hope is that supply issues will be lessened. To read more click the Motoring Research article here.

'PLAY STREETS' WILL BE EASIER TO CREATE

In an effort to foster a feeling of community, the Government has made closing a street from traffic, called 'play street', easier. There is no longer a requirement to apply individually for each closure as multiple dates can be submitted. To read more click the Motoring Research article here.
