FOLLOW UP: INEOS SIGN AGREEMENT FOR BRIDGEND
Ineos has now confirmed that it will be opening a their UK plant in Bridgend, with the target of creating 500 jobs once full production has been scaled up in 2021. They also plan to produce 25,000 vehicles per year with the option for variants. To read more click the Autocar article here.
AMAZON TO BUY 100,000 EV VANS

DEALERSHIP PENDRAGON REVEALS BLEAK OUTLOOK
Pendragon, the third largest dealership in the EU on revenue, has removed their dividend and announced a bleak outlook for 2019, following a loss of £32.2 million in the first half of the year. HUGE RISE IN CATALYTIC CONVERTOR THEFTS
London has been hit be a sharp rise in the theft of catalytic convertors from cars. Particular targets are the Toyota Prius as hybrids do not dirty their cats to the same degree as an internal combustion engine. FORMER BL CHAIRMAN MICHAEL EDWARDES PASSES AWAY
Sir Michael Edwardes, who was chairman and chief executive officer for British Leyland has died at the age of 88. He was in charge of BL during incredibly difficult period, where it could be argued he nearly pulled off the miracle of making the company a sucess.
