FOLLOW UP: TFL TO REMOVE PRIVATE HIRE EXEMPTION
Transport for London wants to remove the exemption that private hire vehicles receive, from the Congestion Charge. Air quality is the reason being given for this move. FOLLOW UP: ROAD TO ZERO EMISSIONS FINALLY PUBLISHED
The Government has published, finally, it’s Road to Zero Emissions plan. Clarification is now available that hybrids will not be hit by the 2040 ICE ban. FOLLOW UP: NISSAN ADMIT TO MORE EMISSION AND FUEL ECONOMY MISREPORTING

NEW CAR REGISTRATIONS JUNE 2018
SMMT has released the June figures for new car registrations. There is another drop, overall of 3.5% with diesel being hit hardest by a 28.2% fall. To read more click on the SMMT link here.
M6 TOLL INCREASE
Charges for the M6 Toll will rise by between 30p and 50p for cars, 10p to 30p for light commercial vehicles and HGVs being hit with 20p to 50p all depending on the journey being taken. To read more click the Motor1 UK article here.
WLTP MEANS GOLF R DROPS POWER
Due to the stricter Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedures (WLTP), the Golf R’s power is dropping to 296bhp, from the previous 306bhp. SEAT had a similar issue with the Leon Cupra. To read more click on the Autocar article here.
