FOLLOW UP: HATZ RELEASED FROM CUSTODY
Former and Volkswagen engine chief Wolfgang Hatz has been released from custody, following the payment of €3 million bail. He is still not allowed to talk to other accused people nor witnesses. Hatz continues to deny all charges. To read more click on the Automotive News Europe article here.
FOLLOW UP: UBER ARIZONA CRASH REPORT
The National Transport Safety Board has released its preliminary report on the fatal accident in Arizona involving an Uber test vehicle. One of the most startling aspects is that the software sensitivity had been dialled back, resulting in the pedestrian and bike were spotted by the car, even that it was a bicycle and the likely trajectory but did not apply the brakes. FOLLOW UP: UBER ON PROBATION IN LONDON
Following an appeal against the TfL ban on Uber's operating license in London, Uber has a 15-month probatory license. TfL and the courts are now satisfied that Uber's practices have changed enough to allow them to work in the capital under strict supervision for this relatively short period of time.
