FOLLOW UP: CONTINUED FALLOUT FROM GHOSN ARREST
The ugly civil war is intensifying within the Nissan Renault Mitsubishi Rebel Alliance. News was released that Carlos Ghosn planned to replace Hiroto Saikawa, in November, according to the Wall Street Journal. To read more click here.
CNBC reports that Nissan executives, including Saikawa, could well find themselves out of Nissan as a result of this scandal. Investor confidence has been dented, as this is one of a number of issues at the company, including recalling vehicles due to faulty vehicle checks. To read more click the article here.
Reuters is reporting that Nissan is considering adding external board members in a bid to rectify claims that it lacks adequate governance. Also, a committee is being set up to oversee compensation. To read more click the article here.

EURO 6 DIESEL CAN BE BANNED IN EUROPEAN CITIES
Diesel cars registered before September 2018, can now legally, be banned from Madrid, Paris and Brussels after European Court of Justice overturned the relaxation of EU emission limits. To read more click the Autocar article here.
APPLE POACHES TESLA DESIGNER
Apple has tempted Andrew Kim, formerly a designer at Tesla, to join the company. On the heels of another ex-Tesla employee, this fuels the speculation that Apple is in fact building a car. To read more click the Verge article here.
FINGER PRINTS TO UNLOCK HYUNDAIS
Hyundai is installing technology to allow multiple users to unlock and start the 2019 Santa Fe using their fingerprint. Also, the seat and mirrors will be automatically adjusted to whoever it is that has activated the vehicle. This feature will first roll out in China. To read more click the Engadget article here.
