FOLLOW UP - PSA TAKEOVER OF OPEL FINANCIAL SERVICES APPROVED

The EU authorities have given the go ahead to the PSA Group taking control of the Opel/Vauxhall financial services. The final deal is expected later in the year. To read more click the PSA article here.

FCA LOOKING FOR SUITORS

GERMAN TRADE-IN SCHEMES LAUNCHED

In Germany, Opel, FCA and Mercedes-Benz have launched trade-in schemes on older diesels. This is being portrayed as an environmentally beneficial act. To read more click the Autocar article here.

AUTOTRADER SCRAPS SUB-£1000 FEES

Autotrader has announced that they are scrapping fees for cars sold up to £1000. Now we all have even more reason to peruse the online feast! IMPROVED LOTUS FINANCIAL RESULTS

REAL-TIME EMISSION SOFTWARE TESTED

Leeds will be trialing emission monitoring, in what could be the first step to controlling air quality in real-time. Some ideas being expressed are authorities controlling a car's environmental driving modes. To read more click the Businesscar article here.

HOW TO GET A TESLA MODEL 3 QUICKER

Week 3's report concentrates on the driving aspects of the Outback. Andrew gets a little bit giddy about the fact that other Outback drivers acknowledge each other on the road. He likes to feel exclusive!

MAZDA MX-5 RESTORATION SCHEME LAUNCHED

Mazda announced that they will be launching a restoration service for Mk1 MX-5 cars. However, there is a tiny snag, as it will only be in Japan. And it only starts in 2018. Hopefully, there is enough of a clamor for this that Mazda open more around the world.
