FOLLOW UP - GM PSA DEAL
Today, as of recording, there was a joint press conference announcing the deal where PSA buys Opel/Vauxhall from General Motors. The short answer is GM were clearly desperate to get rid of Opel/Vauxhall. To read more click here and click here.
Rumours persist the way is now clear for GM to merge with FSA. The chaps imagine Marchionne has been blocked by Barrie now, due to the constant calling!
FEBRUARY NEW CAR REGISTRATION FIGURES
Start of the month means SMMT's new car registration figures are out. February sees a slight drop in numbers. However, alternatively fuelled vehicles continue to rise. Will Alan be proved right, by the end of the year? To read more click here.

Details were also announced about the Race for Remembrance, held at the Anglesey Race Track. This year it will be a 12 hour endurance race. To read more click here.
Quick reminder that the Rally of Mexico starts this Friday. Andrew is looking forward to the special stage being held in the same square as that used in Spectre. Hyundai and Citroën will be hoping for some good luck. Toyota is talking down their chances. We will be watching with interest to see how the M-Sport Ford does too. To read more click here.
NEW TOP GEAR SERIES
Sunday 5 March saw the first episode in the new series of Top Gear. This time Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris and Rory Read are leading the show. The test track is back, for the celebrity guests to try in the new reasonably fast car, a Toyota GT86. Both Alan and Andrew saw a vast improvement on the last series and have higher hopes. The European Car of the Year has been announced. Congratulations to Peugeot for winning with the 3008. Social media did seem perplexed at the decision. To read more click here.
