FOLLOW UP - WRONG COUNTRY
In Episode 70, Alan stated that Otto was a Canadian company, they are in fact from Israel. Thanks to @Nir_Kahn for pointing out how Alan was wrong.
FOLLOW UP - RENAULT FACING CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION
Following the raid on their offices, earlier this year, French authorities have passed on their finding to prosecutors that emission tests have been manipulated. No other manufacturer, other than Volkswagen, has been taken to court. Renault issued a statement where they made it clear their cars are not equipment with cheating software. Both Alan and Andrew are surprised at this development because, historically, the French Government does not make such moves against French companies. To read more click here.
FOLLOW UP - VW UPDATES CO2 FIGURES
In March VW updated the CO2 figures for some of its cars, well it has again. To confirm moving from 99g/km to 106g/km does move the Golf 1.6 TDI with a manual gearbox into a new VED bracket. To read more click here.
ZERO TOLERANCE OF MOBILE PHONE USE
The Government has announced stricter penalties for those caught using their mobile phone whilst driving. The lowest punishment will be six points on licenses, with fines increasing to £200. Andrew questions whether this will really make any difference though. To read more click here.
SCOTLAND CHARGING AHEAD
The use of car charging points has doubled in a year, in Scotland. Whilst this is good news, it should be noted that 18% of charging points were not used in this same period. Great to see so many used, but clearly more work to be done to get people on board. To read more click here.

CHARLIE MILLER CAR HACKING TALK
Friend of the show Lee Walton sent a link to an article discussing a recent talk given by Charlie Miller, one of the researchers who hacked the Jeep whilst it was driving.
